Description

The NASA Space Launch System (SLS) is based on powerful, proven rocket technologies, using updated Space Shuttle engines and soild rocket boosters to generate 8.8 million pounds of thrust at lift off. Launching from Kennedy Space Center’s historic Launch Pad 39B, the SLS will propel he Orion spacecraft and for austronauts to the moon. Later versions of SLS will enable launching even larger, haevier payloads to the Moon, Mars and outer planets for unprecedented exploration missions

The Estes 1:200 scale replica of the NASA SLS portrays the Block 1 configuration topped with the Orion crew vehicle. Preassembled and ready to launch

  • 12/25/2023 – Estes #2206 NASA SLS from Amazon for $55.43 (Retail $76.99). Received from Matt as a Christmas present. This model is ready to fly and therefore no build history is required.
  • 12/26/2023 – Took pictures of package and completely assembled model rocket. This completes construction of Estes #2206 NASA SLS pre-assembled model rocket.
