Build History
- 04/22/2013 – Purchased Estes #2445 Mini Max from HobbyLinc for $7.89 (Retail $15.49).
- 12/26/2017 – Took pictures of package and components.
- 12/27/2017 – Scanned fin sheet, centering rings, retainer, nose cone and instructions.
- 12/28/2017 – Made copy of shock cord mount and fin making guides and then cut them out. Glued centering rings to motor mount tube and glued assembly inside body tube. Sanded fins and attached to body tube. Filleted joints.
- 12/29/2017 – Glued launch lug to body tube. Glued shock cord to shock cord mount and then 1″ inside forward end of body tube.
- 10/02/2022 – Spray painted nose cone with Krylon #51601 Gloss Black. Sanded fins with 60 grit sandpaper and wiped with alcohol wipe. Sanded fins with 1500 grit sandpaper and wiped model with alcohol wipe. Spray painted body tube and fins with Krylon #3406 gloss banner red.
- 10/03/2022 – Removed masking. and took pictures.
- 10/12/2011 – Applied water slide decals using picture card and instructions as a guide. This completes construction of Estes #2445 Mini Max model rocket.
