Build History
- 04/17/2007 – Purchased Estes #2169 Dragonite from Hobby Lobby for $7.19 (Retail $11.99).
- 04/21/2007 – Scanned components, plans, and picture card. Assembled engine mount by inserting the front and rear bulk heads into opposite ends of the white body tube BT-20 engine mount. Inserted this into engine mount part A aligning the tab with the front bulk head notch. Oriented the tabbed fin with the engine mount slot and over the engine mount. Oriented and placed pipe detail A over the center pin. Aligned engine mount pins with holes in part B and pressed together. Slid the base ring and front ring in place aligning tab with notch. Snapped the other fins and pipe into place. In the shock cord/Launch lug assembly, tied a knot in one end of shock cord and pulled in place. Slid the shock cord ring over the forward end of the black body tube so it aligned with the body tube slot. Slid the aft end of the main body tube over the fin can tabs so the launch lugs were aligned. Tied the other end of shock cord to nose cone. Applied self adhesive decals using photo card as guide. This completes Estes #2169 Dragonite model rocket.
