Build History

  • 12-24-2021 – Purchased model from HobbyLinc for $39.79 (Retail – $54.99)
  • 12-25-2021 – Took pictures of box and components. Scanned components and instructions
  • 12-26-2021 – Took composite picture of components. Assembled fin can. Screwed engine retainer cap onto end of fin can and then removed it. Inserted fins into fin slots and screwed retainer cap onto fin can. Inserted shock cord mount into body tube and secured with plastic anchor clip. Cut at an angle the end of the rubber body tube shock cord which allowed it to pass through the body tube more easy. Tied a double knot in other end and pulled it tight into the mount. Tied end other end of shock cord to nose cone. Tied round shock cord to nose of nose cone and tied a loop in the opposite end for parachute attachment. Slid body tube into fin can aligning slots to tabs. Attached self adhesive decals to body tube. Since no paint was required, this completes construction of Estes Astrocam model rocket #7308.
