Build History

• 09/09/2002 – Purchased Estes Mini-Meanie from HobbyLinc for $2.49 (Retail $3.49).
• 09/17/2002 – Opened kit and found all parts included. Traced the fin shape on a business card and taped it to page 8 of Book #2. Measured various parts and recorded them on page 8 Book #2. Took pictures and scanned decal sheet. Cut a 1/8″ slot 1/8″ from forward end of motor mount tube and installed the motor retainer. Glued the engine retainer ring over the engine hook at 1/2″ from aft end. Tied a double knot into one end of the shock cord, cut a bevel on the other end and inserted into the slot on body tube. Packed the nose cone with clay and cemented the nose cone base into the nose cone. Aligned the engine hook with the rear slot in body and placed it inside the body. Cemented the body halves together. Tied nose done to shock cord and tied a streamer 1″ from nose cone on the shock cord. Applied self adhesive decals. This completes construction of Estes Mini-Meanie model rocket #1202. No paint is required.
