Astron Trident

PIMP DADDY ROCKETRY Model K-33

Description

The original Estes Astron Trident first made its appearance in 1968, and used a unique ducted ejection system which routed the ejection gases through the three midbody tubes to the forward section to deploy the parachute.

The Semroc Trident is based on that early design by Gene Street and has been in development for almost two years. It was shipped for a few months as a Semroc xKit, but the tube slotting and alignment produced less than desirable results for many modelers. The Semroc Retro-Repro™ Trident™ takes advantage of Semroc’s new laser-cut tube slotting process that allows Semroc to do the tedious part of the cutting and slotting for you. The addition of two precision laser-cut fiber alignment guides allows the assembly of most of the parts without glue until everything is aligned just right. Larger slots allow for the use of modern ejection charges. And this is not the later-issued Trident II that had only two mid-body tubes. This is the three-tubed Trident that features nine precision cut balsa nose cones! It also features a waterslide decal set based on the original decals to make the Trident™ a great addition to your futuristic classics collection!
