Build History

  • 03/10/2006 – Purchased LOC/Precision Tweed-B from Al’s Hobby Shop in Terre Haute for $77.38 (Retail $97.95).
  • 01/01/2008 – Took pictures of package and contents. Measured components and recorded in Book #3 Page 74.
  • 01/02/2008 – Mixed KB weld and welded Aero Pac 38mm retainer to aft end of motor mount tube. Sanded inside of each centering ring so it will fit motor mount tube. Using 30 minute Epoxy, attached one centering ring 1/4″ from aft end and one centering ring 3/8″ from forward end of motor mount tube. Filleted joints.
  • 01/03/2008 – Drilled 2 holes ~5/64″ into upper centering ring. Cut a length of wire rope that extended through the holes and extended to the forward end of the body tube. Crimped wire to fasten to centering ring.
  • 01/04/2008 – Epoxied motor mount tube inside body tube aft end.
  • 01/05/2008 – Cut fins to fit model. Epoxied one fin to body tube, affixed eye bolt to bulkhead and then into tube coupler.
  • 01/06/2008 – Epoxied remaining 3 fins to body tube. Cut launch lug in half and epoxied 1 2″ from aft end and other 14″ from aft end along launch lug reference line. Using 5 minute Epoxy, filleted joints. Marked tube coupler at mid point and epoxied into forward end of body tube.
  • 01/07/2008 – Filleted launch lug joints.
  • 01/09/2008 – Epoxied upper fins to body tube with 30-minute Epoxy.
  • 01/10/2008 – Filleted fin joints with5-minute Epoxy.
  • 03/05/2022 – Spray painted entire model with Red Primer.
