Build History
- 02/25/2003 – Purchased Quest Mirage from HobbyLinc for $7.29 (Retail $8.99).
- 03/14/2003 – Took pictures of kit.
- 03/15/2003 – Scanned plans and took more pictures. Tied elastic shock cord to Kevlar cord 1″ from ends. Tied Kevlar end to motor housing. Cemented moror housing halves together after installing gray motor mount tube. Applied plastic cement inside end of longer body tube and inserted motor ousing assembly. Test fit fins and locking ring into motor housing. Removed ring and fins and then glued them in place. Cemented coupler bgase into coupler and then cemented other end into smaller body tube. Applied grippers to 14″ parachute corners over holes in chute material. Tied shroud lines to consecutive holes forming a loop for each string. Tied shroud lines together and then tied a snap swivel to it. Applied self adhesive decals to model. This completes constructions of Quest Mirage model rocket #1612.

11/17/2012 | ADC Park | BS62 | C6-0/C6-7 | Nice Straight high flight with great booster separation. Upper stage landed just South of the playground West of the launch site and the booster landed Northeast of the launch site just short of the Frisbee basket. I recovered the upper stage and with Darryl’s instructions was able to recover the booster. No Damage. |
