Build History
- 03/15/2001 – Purchased Estes #2070 Bail Out from Ncphobbies for $14.22 (Retail $15.59).
- 12/15/2001 – Opened package and found all pieces present. Started construction of motor mount assembly. Glued the green engine block flush to forward end of motor mount tube. Marked the motor mount tube 1/4″ and 1-1/2″ and glued the centering rings at these locations. Glued the 1/4″ x 34″ shock cord to the shock cord mount and then inside the forward end of the body tube at least 2″. Filleted centering ring joints.
- 12/16/2001 – Positioned engine mount assembly into rear of body tube. Filleted rear centering ring to body tube. Cemented body tube ring to body tube. Glued and filleted launch lug to launch lug line in line with mark on ring. Attached streamer to nose cone. Cut out 12″ and 24″ parachutes. Added tape rings and punched holes so the shroud lines would be tied to parachute. Added a snap swivel to each shroud line.
- 12/18/2001 – Attached self adhesive decals. This completes construction of Estes Bail Out model rocket #2070.
