Build History

  • 10/21/1999 – Purchased Quest Antari from HobbyLinc for $4.60 (Retail $6.29)
  • 02/11/2000 – Cemented nose cone together with Testors Cement. Tied shock cord and Kevlar together and to the engine block. Glued the engine block to the short engine tube. Cut a slit for the motor clip. Substituted the Quest motor clip with a heavy duty Estes clip. Glued the engine mount tube to the fin assembly with Testors cement, then glued the body tube over the other end of the motor mount tube with Elmers’ Yellow glue. The shock cord and Kevlar cord were pushed through the body tube before gluing. The launch lug was glued 3″ in front of the fin assembly. Streamer – 1-1/8″ x 2-1/2″. Attached the shock cord to the nose cone. Filleted one side of launch lug.
  • 02/12/2000 – Filleted other side of fin joint.
  • 12/28/2003 – Painted entire body tube Krylon #81601 Gloss Black. Did not paint the fins black because they require Orange paint.
