Build History
- 12/25/2013 – Received Estes #9706 Ascender Pro Series II As a Christmas gift (Retail $47.99).
- 12/25/2013 – Took pictures of package and contents. Measured components and recorded in Book #3 Page 138. Scanned plans and decals. Attached fin halves together with thin CA. Held them together with clothes pins. Drew a line along the motor mount tube as a reference line. Test fit centering rings and fins and marked the tube for placement of the forward centering ring. Using CA, attached the aft center ring at the 1″ mark and the forward centering ring at the mark made during fin test fit. CA’d the bulk end plate to the forward end of the tube.
- 12/26/2013 – Epoxied centering rings to the motor mount tube.
- 12/27/2013 – Epoxied fin halves together.
- 12/28/2013 – Epoxied stage cone to forward end of motor mount tube.
- 12/30/2013 – J-B welded retainer to aft end of motor mount tube. This model does not require paint. This completes construction of Estes #9706 Ascender Pro Series II rocket.
