Description
This kit is a maxi of the the star wars X-wing fighter with flies on an F or G motor. This is a heavy model that requires the larger parachute supplied with the kit so if the recovery system fails it will cause damage to the model. This kit requires careful construction but is worth the build when finished. Have fun building this futuristic exotic kit.

Build History
- 06/29/1999 – Purchased NCR X-Wing Maxi from HobbyLinc for $74.89 (Retail $99.99).
- 03/24/2022 – Took pictures of package and contents. Scanned components.
- 03/26/2022 – Cut bulkheads from bulkhead rings and trimmed the excess from each piece. Laid each bulkhead ring on template and marked them. Marked the 2500 body tube using template and drew each line the length of the body tube. Marked each wing joiner. Marked the two holed bulkhead ring as forward and the single holed ring as aft. Cut the tab paper from the wing braces. Marked the mid section of 2 of the wing panels for placement of wing joints. Glued all wing joints to wing panels.
- 03/27/2022 – Epoxied wing spacer into slot and top wing to bottom wing.
- 03/28/2022 – Marked body tube at 1-1/8″, 1-1/4″, 4-2/4″, & 4-7/8″ from aft end. Extended marks all around body tube. Checked fit of wings and glued aft bulkhead rings at 1-1/8 & 1/1/4″ marks Glued forward bulkhead ring at 4-3/4″ & 4-7/8″ marks. Attached Gorilla cable to forward bulkhead ring and placed it through holes in aft bulkhead ring. Epoxied wings to body tube.
- 04/01/2022 – Filleted joints with 2-Ton Epoxy.
- 04/06/2022 – Epoxied four fuselage formess onto sprice rib.
- 04/09/2022 – Cut upper fuselage from vac-u-form sheet.
- 04/12/2022 – Cut lower fuselage fron vac-u-form sheet.
