  • 10/18/2018 – Purchased Squirrel Works Dog Fight from Squirrel Works for $29.95 (Retail $29.92)
  • 11/14/2018 – Took pictures of package and components. Scanned several components. Measurements on page 36 Book #4.
  • 04/16/2020 – Scanned components. Missing decals for main rocket, therefore sent e-mail to Squirrel Works requesting them. Cut 2-3/4″ motor tube from 3′ section of tubing. Glued centering rings 1/2″ from both ends and cut a slot 1/8″ from forward end and inserted motor retainer wire. Filleted centering ring joints.
  • 04/17/2020 – Glued engine block into forward end of motor mount tube. Marked aft end with fin, support and launch lug guidelines. Glued fins onto main body tube. Glued fin tips to fins. Glued launch lug 5-1/4″ from tip of launch lug. Glued top stabilizer along guide line. Filleted fins tip joints and stabilizer joints. Glued remaining stabilizers on guidelines. Filleted opposite side of joints.
  • 04/18/2020 – Filleted stabilizer joint. Glued and screwed screw eye into base of nose cone. Glued launch lug along fin. Glued motor mount assembly so the aft end of motor mount tube is even with body tube. Tied shock cord (1/4″ x 35″) to Kevlar Cord. Tied other end of shock cord to nose cone.
  • 04/19/2020 – Pipetted glue to aft centering ring joint. Took 8-5267 Avery labels and cut in half, attached to both side of parachute octagon, cut circles with paper punch and tied shroud lines through holes. Tied another piece of cord through shroud lines and tied a snap swivel to it.
  • 04/19/2020 – On the Zero Fighter, sanded and glued together the jog. Beveled wings and glued together. Glued body to wings and used tape to keep body upright while glue dried.
  • 04/20/2020 – On the Zero Fighter, glued tail piece in place and then the tail. Glued one engine coil to body. Placed nose weight (penny) into hole and glued other engine coil in place. Cut out decals.
  • 04/20/2020 – On the Corsair Fighter, sanded and glued together the wing jig. Glued wings together and then onto body tube. Filleted joints.
  • 04/21/2020 – On the Corsair Fighter, glued tail piece to body, cut out decals and glued stabilizer to body. Glued rudder to stabilizer.
  • 04/21/2020 – Cut out decals.
  • 04/21/2020 – On Zero Fighter, cut 1″ section of dowel rod and glued it to the bottom of engine coil.
  • 04/21/2020 – On Corsair Fighter, cut 1″ section of dowel rod and glued it to the bottom of engine coil.
  • 04/21/2020 – On Zero Fighter, filleted dowel rod joints.
  • 04/21/2020 – On Corsair Fighter, filleted dowel rod joints.
  • 04/21/2020 – Spray painted with white primer.
  • 09/16/2020 – Spray painted Gloss White Krylon paint.
