  • 03/16/2008 – Purchased Polecat Rocketry MIM Armyhawk 7.5″ from Nocturnal Knight Rocketry for $315.00 (Retail – $349.95).
  • 12/31/2023 – Took pictures of components.
  • 01/05/2024 – Epoxied aft centering ring 7-3/4″ from aft end of motor mount tube. Epoxied aft centering ring joint. Epoxied forward Centering Ring onto forward end of Motor Mount Tube.
  • 01/07/2024 – Sanded aft inside edge of body tube with Dremel tool and 120 grit sandpaper so boat tail would fit inside of it. Epoxied aft centering ring into boat tail. Epoxy filleted aft motor mount tube to aft end of body tube.
  • 01/08/2024 – Used Harbor Freight Epoxy Weld to weld motor retainer to aft end of motor mount tube. Cut a 3/4″ section from fin tab.
  • 01/09/2024 – Cut a 3/4″section from fin tab of remaining 3 fins.
  • 02/02/2024 – Epoxied fins to main body tube.
  • 02/03/2024 – Epoxied fins onto main body tube. Re-epoxied fin to main body tube. Model fell and broke 3 fins.
  • 02/11/2024 – Re-epoxied fin to body tube.
  • 02/12/2024 – Re-Epoxied 2 fins to main body tube. Broke 1 fin joint from main body tube when rocket fell.
  • 02/15/2024 – Re-Epoxied fin to main body tube slot.
  • 02/16/2024 – Re-Epoxied another fin to body tube slot.
  • 02/21/2024 – Epoxied all four aft fins into body tube slots.
  • 03/03/2024 – Applied 4 fillets to fin joints using 30-minute epoxy filled with micro balloons to thicken the epoxy. (Used about 15ml of epoxy mix on each fillet.)
  • 03/04/2024 – Applied fillets to remaining fin joints.
  • 03/05/2024 – Started assembly of electronics bay. Attached U-bolt to lower bulkhead with U-bolt facing away from bulkhead groves. Inserted 4 threaded rods through 4 outer holes. used nuts and flat washers on both sides of bulkhead. Tightened nuts. Epoxied the 2 electronics bay mounting plate slides to mounting plate grooves holding them in place with clamps while epoxy cures. Epoxied lower bulkhead to coupler tube. Measured inside forward end of upper body tube 6″ and 4.5″ on outside of tube coupler.
  • 03/07/2024 – Epoxied fin stringer support to edge of fins.
  • 10/08/2024 – Epoxied Deployment Unit bottom bolts.
  • 10/12/2024 – Epoxied electronics bay assembly half way into tube coupler with bolts inside coupler.
  • 10/13/2024 – Added epoxy fillet to bulk plate/coupler seam.
